The Original recipe contains just instant chicory. It comes in a 100g jar and is prepared by adding hot water and stirring, making it convenient when you want to prepare a single cup.

The roasted flavour can be enjoyed black or softened with milk. Add honey or sugar if that is how you prefer your hot drinks, or leave the cup unsweetened. Original gives you an unflavoured chicory base to personalise each time, so the drink you make can fit the taste preferences of different people using the same jar.

Bonvit makes this instant drink from specially cultivated chicory roots. The roots are dried and roasted, then extracted using water to preserve their natural flavour. The resulting instant ingredient is ready to stir into hot water. This Original product contains chicory alone. Original's instant preparation is useful when you like roasted chicory drinks but prefer making them directly in a cup, without setting up a separate filter or strainer.

Prepare a cup at home or in a workplace kitchen where hot water is available. The manufacturer's preparation is one heaped teaspoon in a cup, followed by hot water and a stir. It can be a morning drink, an afternoon cup or an evening choice when you would like roasted flavour without caffeine. Milk and sweetener are optional additions.

Choose the 100g jar with your likely rate of use in mind: Bonvit recommends consuming the contents within eight weeks of opening. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of odour, and replace the lid securely after use.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0599/5793/6193/files/bonvit-original-instant-chicory-100g-front-1200.png?v=1792209912
