Product Overview

Sourdough Mumma Gluten Free Sourdough Bread Making Kit 1.12kg

Sourdough Mumma Gluten Free Sourdough Bread Making Kit 1.12kg brings together four coordinated products for starting a gluten-free sourdough routine at home. The kit contains a 20g dehydrated ‘Oscar’ gluten-free starter, a 500g Feed My Starter Mix, a 315g Gluten Free Sourdough Bread Mix and a 277g Gluten Free Sourdough Focaccia Mix. It is a convenient way to obtain the starter, feeding flour and two baking mixes in one pack instead of selecting each component separately.

Begin by activating Oscar with filtered water and the supplied starter feed, following the staged instructions on the current packets and the brand’s supporting videos. You will need clean kitchen equipment, accurate scales and a suitable jar or container. Fermentation timing varies with room temperature, so look for the activity described in the instructions rather than relying only on the clock. Once the starter is active, use the relevant bread or focaccia packet directions to prepare the dough.

The 315g bread mix is designed to make an approximately 850g baked loaf, while the 277g focaccia mix makes an approximately 840g finished bake according to the manufacturer. Retain and feed the remaining starter for future baking. Keeping the culture healthy requires clean utensils, careful measuring and regular feeding. When it is not being prepared for a bake, refrigerate the starter in a well-sealed jar and follow the brand’s maintenance guidance before using it again.

The current range is identified by the supplier as gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian, and made with organic ingredients. The component ingredients include flours and starches such as brown rice, buckwheat, sorghum, tapioca and potato, together with flaxseed and psyllium husk; always confirm the complete formulation and allergen statement on every packet supplied. Water and ordinary kitchen equipment are not included. Store unopened components in a cool, dry place, keep opened mixes sealed against moisture and discard an activated starter if mould, unusual colour or other signs of spoilage develop.
