Golden Turmeric Golden Paste for Pets 200g is a ready-to-use turmeric paste made for measured mixing with animal food. The screw-cap 200g pouch lets you portion the paste without separately preparing turmeric powder, oil and black pepper.

According to the current pack, each approximate 5g teaspoon contains 1000mg organic turmeric with +5.1% curcumin, 600mg extra virgin olive oil, 315mg organic apple cider vinegar with the mother, 82mg freshly ground black pepper and 72mg Ceylon cinnamon. Water, citric acid and potassium sorbate make up the remaining ingredients, with the last two listed at less than 1%. The pet formula uses olive oil, not coconut oil, and Ceylon cinnamon rather than the ginger used in the people formula.

Mix the starting amount into the animal’s usual food. The label directs 1/8 teaspoon twice daily for cats and small dogs, 1/4 teaspoon twice daily for medium to large dogs, 1 teaspoon twice daily for horses, 1/4 teaspoon once daily for ruminants, and a pea-sized amount twice daily for small animals such as chickens or rabbits. Increase the amount slowly in line with the pack directions.

For reliable portioning, use a measuring spoon and keep the pouch securely closed between feeds. Once opened, the manufacturer recommends refrigeration and use within four to six weeks. The paste can also be frozen. If your pet is taking prescription medicine, consult your veterinary practice before use and always follow the label directions.
