Nirvana Originals Xylitol

Nirvana Originals Xylitol is a single-ingredient, granulated sugar alternative for sweetening drinks and preparing food at home. Choose from 225g, 500g, 1kg and 2kg resealable pouches, whether you want a smaller pack for occasional use or a larger supply for cooking. Each size contains the same premium-grade xylitol, so you can choose the amount that suits your kitchen without changing the ingredient.

The white crystals have a sugar-like appearance and a refreshing sweet taste. One teaspoon provides approximately the sweetness of one teaspoon of sugar, making it easy to adjust tea, coffee or cocoa to your preference. Start with a little less than your usual amount, stir well and add more if needed. The spoonable format also works for sprinkling over porridge, cereal or fruit, or stirring into plain yoghurt.

Made from 100% natural xylitol sourced from non-GMO corncobs, this Original range has no added flavours, colours or preservatives. Nirvana Health Products is Australian owned; this is separate from its Certified Organic Xylitol range. The stand-up pouch can be used directly or to refill a smaller container, and its ziplock closure makes it easy to reseal between uses.

For cooking and baking, approximate cup-for-cup sweetness is a starting point rather than a promise that every recipe will behave like sugar. Some recipes may need extra liquid. Xylitol does not caramelise or feed yeast, so choose a recipe designed for xylitol when browning, setting or rising matters. Reseal the pouch after use and store it in a cool, dry place. Use in moderation: excess consumption may have a laxative effect. Keep xylitol away from dogs.
