Tri Nature Maxim Descaler Bulk with pump 5L removes mineral scale and hard-water deposits from compatible household appliances. It is a maintenance cleaner for washing machines, dishwashers, kettles and coffee machines, with a different measured dose for each appliance. Choose it when you need to descale the machine itself, keeping the maintenance cycle separate from washing clothes or dishes.

Citric acid is the descaling ingredient listed in the formula, alongside cleaning surfactants. Scale can collect in places that are difficult to reach by hand, so the product is used through an appliance cycle or in its water compartment as directed. Tri Nature lists stainless steel, chrome and vitreous enamel among compatible materials. Always check the appliance manufacturer’s descaling instructions before selecting a product or method.

For washing machines and dishwashers, add 50–100ml to the floor of the empty machine and run a normal hot wash and rinse cycle. For a kettle, add 50ml, fill with cold water, bring to the boil, then leave for ten minutes and rinse well. For a coffee machine, use 50ml per litre of water and follow the machine’s instructions. These millilitre measurements are the clearest way to compare the separate methods.

Tri Nature recommends use every three months for general appliance maintenance. Your appliance instructions and local water conditions may affect its maintenance schedule. Do not treat the descaler as a laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid or rinse aid: those products have different jobs and belong in different compartments or stages of cleaning.
