About this product

We The Wild Plant Care Pest Traps (For Flying Plant Pests) Sticky Pest Strips + Storage Tin x 20 Pack provides adhesive strips for catching small flying pests around indoor potted plants. The starter pack includes 20 strips and a storage tin, so you can use a few now and keep the remaining strips protected for later.

The narrow strips fit along the inside rim of a plant pot for a discreet placement. Flying insects are caught when they contact the sticky surface. This format is useful when you want to monitor and catch adult fungus gnats near a pot without putting a large trap above the foliage.

Peel back the protective film as directed on the pack and attach the strip inside the pot rim. Keep the exposed sticky surface clear of leaves and other objects so it can do its job. Check the trap regularly and replace it when the surface is covered with insects or dust and is no longer useful.

The brand describes the strips as made from compostable corn material. The included tin can be reused to store unused strips, keeping their adhesive covered and away from dust. This is a pack of physical sticky traps, rather than a liquid plant feed or a spray, and no mixing or measuring of a concentrate is needed.

Use indoors and keep the adhesive away from children, pets, hair and clothing. The traps catch flying insects; they are not a soil treatment for larvae. Continue looking after your plants’ watering and drainage needs alongside using the strips. Store spares in the closed tin in a cool, dry place, and follow the pack’s placement and disposal guidance.

Directions for use

For indoor potted plants. Peel the protective film as directed and attach a strip to the inside rim of the pot. Keep the exposed adhesive clear of foliage. Check regularly and replace when covered or no longer sticky. Store unused strips covered in the tin.

Warnings & suitability

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with hair, skin and clothing—adhesive is very sticky. Not suitable for outdoor use in direct rain or high wind. Dispose of used traps in household rubbish.

Storage

Store unused strips inside the supplied tin, away from heat, dust and direct sunlight. Keep sealed when not in use to maintain adhesive strength.
