Good Riddance

Sort by:

Good Riddance makes Australian-made cream insect repellents with essential oil actives and a moisturising base. The range offers a lotion format for applying directly to exposed skin, with two distinct fragrances to choose from. Compare Tropical and Sensitive in 100ml tubes to find the formula that suits your preferences and the age of the person using it.

Both formulas are DEET-free and designed to repel mosquitoes and midges, also known as sandflies. Their cream bases include sunflower oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil and beeswax. The texture makes them an option for shoppers who prefer spreading a cream to using a spray. Check each product's ingredients and precautions before choosing, particularly if you have known sensitivities.

Choosing between Tropical and Sensitive

Good Riddance Tropical 100ml has a citrus fragrance, with essential oil of Cymbopogon species and lemon tea tree oil as its registered active constituents. It is not recommended for children under two years of age. Choose it if you prefer a citrus-scented cream and its directions suit the person who will use it.

Good Riddance Sensitive 100ml has a lavender, geranium and sweet vanilla fragrance. Its registered actives are lavender oil and essential oil of Cymbopogon species. Sensitive is not recommended for children under three months of age. The different age guidance does not remove the need to read the label or check for individual ingredient sensitivities.

Application and care

Apply the lotion generously to exposed skin and reapply as required, following the directions on the tube. Both products are for external use only. Avoid broken skin, eyes, lips and highly sensitive areas, and wash your hands afterwards. Stop use and seek medical advice if a rash or irritation develops. If the product enters the eyes, rinse immediately with cold water.

Keep the original container closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of children's reach. Do not store below 5°C. Check the expiry printed on the tube and keep the product label available for its complete precautions and first aid instructions.

Common questions

How long does protection last?

The approved labels state protection for at least 90 minutes against mosquitoes and midges. Reapply as required and follow the directions on the particular tube you use.

Are Good Riddance repellents vegan?

No. Tropical and Sensitive both contain beeswax, so neither formula is suitable for vegans.

Can I use Sensitive during pregnancy?

Ask your GP or another qualified health professional before use during pregnancy. Choose an insect repellent with advice that considers your individual circumstances.
