A guide to your everyday home
About this product

Abode Front & Top Loader Lavender & Mint Laundry Powder 15kg is a concentrated washing powder in a bulk pail for homes and shared laundries that use the same detergent regularly. Its lavender and mint essential oils give the powder its distinctive scent, while the low-suds formula suits front- and top-loading washing machines. The 15kg size provides a larger supply in one container, making it worth considering when smaller packs are being replaced frequently. Packaging may vary from the image; current 15kg stock is suitable for front and top loaders.

The formula combines soda ash, baking soda and sodium citrate with cleaning ingredients including sodium coco sulphate and alkylpolyglucosides. It contains no phosphates, zeolites or optical brighteners. Lavender and mint oils give this version a floral, herbal aroma. This is a fragranced detergent, so choose according to your household’s scent preferences. Plant-derived ingredients do not mean that a detergent is sulphate-free: this formula contains sodium coco sulphate.

Use the powder for machine-washable clothes and household laundry in hot or cold water, choosing the programme and temperature to match the fabric. Abode describes a small dose of approximately one tablespoon per wash. Measure carefully and follow the directions on the supplied pack for your machine, load and water conditions. Adding more powder than recommended is not a substitute for choosing the correct wash programme or allowing enough room for clothes to move.

A pail is useful when you want to keep the bulk supply together and dispense smaller amounts as needed. Choose a dry storage spot before ordering and keep the lid closed between washes. If you transfer powder into a smaller container, use one reserved for this product, label it clearly and retain the original directions and precautions. The matching 1kg and 4kg options suit trying the fragrance or keeping a smaller pack beside the machine. This 15kg listing is the pail option; check the selected size before adding it to your basket.
