About this product

Abode Laundry Powder Eucalyptus is a eucalyptus-scented washing powder for top and front loader machines. The range offers a 4kg pouch and an 8kg bucket containing two 4kg refill bags. Choose the pouch for a smaller supply or the bucket when you want more powder on hand for repeated loads of clothing and household laundry that suit its care instructions.

Eucalyptus oil gives this variant its named fragrance. The ingredient declarations also identify plant-based enzymes and non-ionic surfactants, with ingredients including soda ash, sodium citrate, carboxymethylcellulose, sodium sulfate, sulfonic acid, baking soda and sodium disilicate. It suits a preference for eucalyptus-scented washing powder, with the size selector allowing you to choose the amount supplied in each retail pack.

Measure the powder with a tablespoon: one for a light load, two for a normal load and three to four for a heavy load. For handwashing or soaking, use one tablespoon per five litres of water. A plastic measuring scoop is not included. Follow your machine manufacturer’s instructions when dispensing the powder, and match the wash cycle to the garments being washed.

The 4kg pouch carries an up-to-200-washes statement; actual use depends on the dose for each load. The 8kg format is a bucket with two 4kg refill bags, giving you a larger supply of this scent option. Both packs are labelled greywater safe. Before using the powder in a septic or biocycle system, consult the system manufacturer as instructed on the labels. The 8kg pack can be ordered when our warehouse stock is zero and will be purchased from our supplier after you order.

Wash colours separately and follow garment care directions. The powder is not suitable for wool, silk, leather, chiffon, satin, embroidered garments or non-colourfast fabrics. Store it in a cool, dry place below 30°C and keep it out of children’s reach. It can irritate eyes and skin, so avoid direct contact, rinse and dry hands after handling, and follow the full safety directions.

How to use & surface care

Suitable for top and front loader washing machines. Refer to the washing machine manufacturer’s instructions. Light load: 1 tablespoon. Normal load: 2 tablespoons. Heavy load: 3–4 tablespoons. Handwashing or soaking: 1 tablespoon per 5 litres of water. No plastic scoop is included; measure with a tablespoon. Follow garment care instructions and wash colours separately. Not suitable for wool, silk, leather, chiffon, satin, embroidered garments or fabrics with non-colourfast dyes. Consult your system manufacturer before use in a septic or biocycle system.

Safety & care

Keep out of reach of children. Do not swallow. Eye and skin irritant; avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Do not mix with detergents, brighteners, laundry boosters or chlorine bleach except as directed on the label. If soaking in a plastic bucket, ensure it has a tightly sealed lid for safety. Rinse and dry hands thoroughly after contact. For sensitive skin, avoid prolonged use or wear rubber gloves. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. If in eyes, wash out immediately with a large amount of water.
