Honest to Goodness Organic Beetroot Powder 300g is a single-ingredient powder for adding beetroot flavour and colour to food and drinks. It is made from mature organic beetroot that is washed, dehydrated and ground. The 300g tub is useful if you want a pantry ingredient that is ready to spoon into recipes.
The flavour is naturally sweet and earthy, with a strong red colour. Try a small amount in a smoothie or juice, stir it into a dip or yoghurt, or use it in baking. It can also colour a beetroot latte. Starting with less lets you adjust both the taste and the depth of colour to your preference.
A typical amount is one to two teaspoons, approximately 3–6g, adjusted to the recipe. You do not need to peel or cook fresh beetroot before adding this powder. That makes it convenient for small portions, where opening the tub and measuring a spoonful may be easier than preparing a whole beetroot.
There are no added anti-caking or free-flow agents. Some clumping is therefore normal and does not, by itself, mean the powder has spoiled. Break up dry clumps manually or with a grinder before measuring if needed. Keep moisture out of the tub and use a clean, dry spoon each time.
